Sometimes life just warrants a little fun, right? Exhibit A: remnants from our silly string war!
The best thing about silly string is that it is fun without the mess. Ava and I called Adam outside and surprised him by spraying him with silly string. Ava thought it was so funny, of course, the tides quickly turned when Adam grabbed a silly string can and sprayed me and Ava.
Speaking of mailboxes, oh no one mentioned mailboxes? Well, it has been mentioned now, so- how’s that for a transition….
I saw this idea on Pinterest and just loved the idea, so we took it and ran with it, or rather cut it and bolted it to the wall. Ava now has a mailbox in her playroom. She has received random pieces of mail and the first thing she does every day (and I mean every day) is check her mailbox!
It so cute and fun to watch her get so surprised every day. She has received cards, candy, gifts, birthday invitations (yes, everything that is mailed to her, I save and put in her mailbox). The next step will be to teach her how to send out mail to other people. Which by this method, should be much cheaper than through the post office now that the cost of stamps are going up…again!
